Species Used
This Grass and Wild Flower mixture contains the following Species: Birdsfoot Trefoil, Black Medick, Black knapweed, Common Vetch, Meadow Buttercup, Oxeye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, White Campion, White Clover, Self Heal, Yarrow, Musk Mallow and Red Campion. Grasses: Browntop Bent, Crested Dogtail, Meadow Fescue, Red Fescue, Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass and Yorkshire Fog.
Sow between March and October. Young grass will appear within 7-14 days under good growing conditions.
Sowing Rates & Dates
5 grams per square metre. 1 box covers 40m2
Best months: March/April or August/September
Mowing
New Meadow: When sward reaches 15cm, cut back to 5 cm removing cuttings.
First Year: First cut in May and then every 2 months or when the sward reaches 15 cm. Cut back to 5cm removing cuttings.
Future years: First cut in March/April to 7.5cm. Second cut Aug/Oct removing cuttings.
